If You Were.
-- By William Svoboda --
If you were the air, I’d breath you in fast,
Holding your scent so memories will last,
For a thousand years, and a million more,
You be the ocean I’ll be the shore,
Always together never apart,
Wave crashes sound the beat of our heart,
You be the water I’ll be the sand
Wherever they meet, I’m holding your hand.
If you were the stars, I’d stare at the sky,
Drinking in wonder with a tear filled eye,
Hating the fact that I’m there all alone,
Like a kingdom with no Queen or a throne,
I’d become all the empty space that’s above,
So I could look at your face and show you my love,
I’d sing to those stars like a bird sings a song
Cause I never knew love till you came along,
What speeds up the beat of my heart?
The fact I don’t care where I end and you start.

A Trip Down Memory Lane... Kind of...
I have not blogged in months...
...
Anyway, this month marks my three year anniversary to my wonderful husband Bill. Last year, I took a little "journey" down History Lane and more or less compared us to famous couples back in the day. This year, I'm going to reinact our relationship through Pop Culture...

Unlike Tucker Max, (all of my close friends will get this one), I met Bill at a bar... but still stayed together long enough to date. This was the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

This is Ted. Ted really has nothing to do with this story, except that he says he plays real golf. Bill and my first date was minature golfing. It was good times and our relationship blossomed. (Ummmm, Ted, we couldn't help but notice that this is NOT a golf club).

Fast forward a little while. Bill finally propsed. Yes, nothing like this movie that came out in theatres recently. Bill's proposal was not even funny... it was heartwarming, like parts of the movie. That's the only connection. Oh, but we are both hot.

Unlike these people, we were able to avoid the paparazzi at our wedding. We don't understand why it is so hard. I mean, c'mon, just don't be famous!

Just like Michelle Obama, we also moved into a house. We even were able to decorate it to our liking. Of course, one of us has a less grand house than the other... poor Michelle.

Here are our two dogs, Shinobi (L) and Ronin (R). As you can see, we decided to get two non-hypo-allergenic dogs. How can you tell that...? Because they are cute, duh.

We had no "tabloid moments." Again, we don't understand how hard it is to just stay out of those things. Don't do anything to draw attention to yourself, Brad... Jennifer...

We did have those fighting moments... but we tried to stay on the same side. Which sometimes worked.

We met lots of new people along the way... and continue to meet more and welcome many friends into our lives.

Well... there's a very short look at the past in the lives of Bill and Nicki Jo. And hoping that marriage heaps upon us many more stories to tell!
Here's hoping July 22, brings the best 3 year anniversary yet! :)
