Yes, yes, I know. It has been a VERY long time... and I read in my last blog that I had promised to update it soon... well, here's to a new year and new resolutions... wait, maybe I shouldn't promise things that I can't always keep.
"I resolve to eat less candy..." "I resolve to do the dishes more..." "I resolve to kick my little sister less..." "I resolve to not be single..." "I resolve to work out more in the new year..."
Year after year, resolutions ring loud and clear across the world. While sincere enough from the start, often resolutions fizzle or sound rather stupid as the year goes on.
"Well, it was Peter's birthday and he would have known if I would have not eaten his cake..." "My sister stepped into my room without permission, so I HAD to kick her..." "Working out just takes time away from other things I would rather -er- I mean, have to do..."
So, what's the trick to making resolutions stick? Not sure I have the answer on that one. I have had many failed resolutions in the past as well. Unfortunately, or fortunately, it is human nature. So, really can I be held responsible for things that are just in my DNA?
Well, I guess my resolution this year: to love my family and have low expectations of others! :)
